14. You don’t have a boyfriend/girlfriend? Who cares?!
I’m going to
keep this one sort of short and simple. I believe the relationship that you
must put the most effort into is the one you have with yourself. Don’t feel bad
about doing so. Keep working on that relationship no matter the circumstances.
I understand it might be hard seeing
the couples and love all around you, but you don’t have to beat yourself up
just because you don’t have that special someone at the moment. The pressure
can be a lot but it’s so unhealthy to think there’s something wrong with you if
you aren’t dating. You just don’t do that.
There are many people that feel down in the dumps just because they don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend. I don’t even know where to start to explain that it is completely okay to be single. And I’m going to repeat it once more for the people in the back, for the non-believers, it is completely okay.
I’ve seen a quote by Matthew Hussey the other day. It said, love when you are ready not lonely. And I’m just going to put it in here and give you some thinking time. You are ready once you truly love, respect and appreciate yourself and that one, people, takes practise and time.
